After divorce and being out of the dating scene for a while, it may be hard to remember where to meet single men. A good way to meet single men is through new girlfriends. Remember with new friends come new circles, which brings new men! Thankfully though, there are also numerous other places to meet men.

Some of these places are extremely obvious such as bars, clubs, weddings, etc. But the best places to meet and pick up men are the not-so-obvious places. The great thing about these places is that if you're there, you already know you have something in common and it makes it a lot easier to spark up conversation. Act confident and he will say yes to a date -- guaranteed!

Places like the DMV, jury duty and airplanes are great places to randomly start conversations with men. For example, at the DMV, make a comment about the long lines and from there, start up a conversation. Ask him what he is there for. If he is renewing his license, make a comment about how cute he looks in his picture. At jury duty, you certainly have much more in common. You can talk about the case or the other jurors. If you are waiting for a long time to be called, you can ask him if he has ever been a juror before. Airplanes are another great place to make conversation, especially if you have a long flight ahead of you. You can ask questions about where he is going and why. Maybe even give him some tips if you are familiar with the area! What do you have to lose? If everything goes terribly wrong, in all likelihood you will not see this person ever again. Regardless, I truly believe that the biggest turn on is confidence, so if you proceed with confidence, it's a definite win.

A sporting event is a great way to pick up a very specific type of guy, and if sports are important to you, then this is where you need to be. There are plenty of guys at sporting events looking to find a great girl to discuss the game with. For guys, what is better than a great game, a beer and a cute girl? Teasing him at the game about his favorite player is a great way to spark up a conversation and start flirting. He will absolutely love the fact that you are so into sports and confident enough in your knowledge about the sport to tease him.

Another place that is great to meet men is the men's department in department stores. I have one sure-fire to way to pick up a guy and I promise you it is really simple! If you see a cute guy who is dressed nicely, ask him his opinion on something. Tell him that it's is your dad's birthday or that you are shopping for a holiday present for your brother. Whatever you do, make sure that it is clear that this present is for a family member. The guy will undoubtedly love the fact that you are asking him for his opinion.

Last by not least, it can be great to meet men on the street. There are always men walking around just waiting to be asked for the best restaurant in town or directions to the hippest bar. This is another place where it is not only easy, but also convenient. If you see a great looking guy on the street, even if you are not lost, why not ask him for directions anyway? You literally have nothing to lose and everything to gain. I have had many women clients pick up men this way. Just go for it; I promise you will not regret it. Just remember that confidence is everything!

These six places might seem like weird places to pick up men, but trust me, they will lead you to the man of your dreams. It is also important when talking to men at these places to take a quick glance at his left hand to see if he is married. After just getting out of a complicated relationship, you do not want to get tangled up in someone else's marriage. If he is not wearing a ring, it does not hurt to maybe drop a hint or ask a sly question about where his significant other may be. Wherever you pick up guys, just be confident. Guys love it and will love you for it!
