Voter fraud has accelerated throughout the U.S. and must be stopped.

Voter fraud is a problem in as many as 33 states and people are demanding action to save our democracy.

It's a malignancy that must be eradicated before it metastasizes to all 50 states, an unstoppable force that threatens to infect our electoral process -- threatens to undermine our Constitution and freedoms.

How did it ever get this bad?

Through secrecy, deception, and a thirst for power; a calculated and sinister plan of subversion.

We, as a nation, must act swiftly to prevent this scourge from eroding our freedom. Act swiftly so one party does not gain an unfair advantage. Act swiftly to save the integrity of our democracy and our voting rights.

This has been perpetrated by a secretive and partisan organization that begins with the first letter of the alphabet.

But, before you jump to the wrong conclusion, before you make an ass out of u and me, the subversive collective guilty of voter fraud is not ACORN.

No, it's not the organization James O'Keefe wrongly -- and criminally -- accused of wrong-doing. It's an organization that has been operating secretly for more than 30 years, planning and plotting to undermine our democracy.

The partisan and subversive organization is ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council. It is behind many efforts to suppress the voting rights of millions of Americans, using fear and lies to send a false message.

State after Republican state has enacted ALEC-crafted voter ID laws, placing unnecessary burdens on citizens that have voted for years. Some are designed to purge voter rolls. Others attempt to control early voting and absentee balloting, claiming these moves will eliminate fraud.

But these phony laws protect nothing. There is no voter fraud! At least, not of the type they're claiming.

Pennsylvania, a state enacting one of the harshest voter ID laws, has had zero voter fraud of the type their law claims to end. Zero!

Its governor, Tom Corbett, who signed the bill into law, prosecuted zero cases of voter fraud as the state's Attorney General. The law is being challenged, but despite overwhelming evidence that voter fraud is non-existent in Pennsylvania, Judge Robert Simpson refused to grant an injunction to stop it.

Ohio's move to reduce early voting, especially in-person voting on the weekend prior to the election, is clearly voter suppression; a discriminatory move to disenfranchise a specific group of voters. Ohio Secretary of State, Jon Husted, though proven to be a hypocrite, still insists his actions have merit. Shamefully, Husted used the active military for his deception and his lies. His efforts are unequivocally designed to block the black vote in his state.

Voting is a right, not a privilege. It's imperative to understand the voter laws in your state so you can exercise your right to vote. Interactive maps have been created to help you determine the rules and restrictions in your state.

These states, and others, are in violation of the 15th Amendment of the Constitution, the 24th Amendment, which abolished poll taxes, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 which had to be enacted to curtail the voting abuses of many southern states including Mississippi, South Carolina, and Alabama. Current attempts to suppress the vote in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida and other states can be easily proven to be voter suppression.

Florida's attempt to purge the voter rolls and change third party registration adding restrictive and punitive laws, is criminal. This archaic legislation has even alienated the League of Women Voters -- a long standing organization associated with voter rights and fairness -- and caused them to suspend their efforts in Florida.

Any claim by these states, or any of the other 30 enacting voter fraud laws, that they are preventing voter fraud is a bald-faced lie!

The real voter fraud is that being committed by dishonest Republican legislatures instituting model laws drafted by ALEC and pushing them on unsuspecting citizens.

Contrary to what they say, a Brennan Center for Justice study shows that there is virtually no in-person voter fraud. The likelihood of voter fraud is somewhere between 0.00004 and 0.00009 percent. More people are struck by lightning than commit voter fraud.

Fortunately ALEC has been exposed. Grassroots efforts are ongoing to eliminate the organization and force their corporate sponsors to abandon this partisan organization. It's working. You can join the fight.

Republicans are, once again, trying to steal an election. People in each state are standing their ground, fighting for the disenfranchised; protecting their voices and their rights.

These actions by Republicans have disgraced the Constitution and push back is beginning as more people recognize their subterfuge.

Every American has the right to vote. Any attempt to suppress that vote should be met with a passionate rebuke of the offenders.

It's time to relieve Republicans of their privilege to serve the American people.

We need your voice; we need your vote!
