Ukraine... Warsaw... we kicked its ass! Or I think that's how the Bill Murray quote goes from the movie, "Ghostbusters."
Anyway, my Euro Trip has, sadly, come to an end but I had a great time and I accomplished the one thing that I set out to do: To understand what it means to be a true fan. I searched far and wide throughout the very welcoming countries of Poland and Ukraine to talk, listen, laugh, and hug the wisest and most enthusiastic fans around and I learned that I need to have passion, a healthy respect for others and their culture, and to let go of being self-conscious and enjoy the moment. Yeah, I know, it's pretty zen. Also, I got to meet some wonderful people from all over the world, specifically the gracious hosts of the tournament, Poland and Ukraine, who bent over backwards to make sure we were welcome, which included smashing out the back window of our rental car so that we could get better ventilation. What more could you ask for?
Wait, I know, a video of our last day! We took in the Fan Zone in Kiev hoping to glimpse a Ukrainian win over the English, which would've had them advance out of their group, which would've been a huge achievement, which would've put us in the middle of the biggest party ever! But the Ukrainians ended up losing, though that didn't stop the Ukrainians from having fun and we were right there to take it all in. Check it out.
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: This might be a video of our last day but it's not the last video from our time on the ground at the Euros because we have bloopers, montages, and much, much more coming so keep watching!
