The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1: A Man-on-the-Street Review

I'm not an expert when it comes to technology, but I certainly know what I like and like what I know. I also believe that the power of a review for the vast majority is not based on the techie jargon, but instead on how it adapts to daily life and how easily it can transition from out of the box and into your life. So when I decided to step outside my comfort zone and check out the Samsung Note 10.1, I did so as a self-proclaimed technophile and/or just a guy who loves his gadgets and expects them to work.

While part of family of "Notes" that has proudly worn the label "Phallet" as a red badge of courage this one is all tablet and breaking new ground in a market saturated by products that are simply hard to distinguish as unique.

Samsung has created this Note with their exclusive SoC technology, offering brilliant functionality which allows me to multitask on projects that include real work, rather than the focus of similar brands that gave me little more than a platform to send email and watch movies. This combination of the high-performing Exynos 4 Quad and a high-capacity battery simply makes this Android-based tablet a true beast.

In a market brimming with as many opinions as products, this man-on-the-street brief review is meant to help you decide what you can expect when you invest both your time and money into the Samsung Note 10.1.

The final word? For me, I was able to use the Samsung Note 10.1 in place of my laptop more than 50 percent of time when traveling on short business trips. This was a huge plus, as no matter how excited I was with the laptop idea decades ago... it has become a bit of blessing and a burden to constantly drag through security. While some have made comment on the design of the Samsung Note 10.1, I feel, as in any relationship, beauty is in the eye of the beholder with this product both meeting and exceeding all my expectations.

NOTE: I am in no way affiliated with Samsung nor was I paid for this review.
