We've all heard that old axiom about life imitating art, but one specific part of our lives has come to imitate a singular type of art. Our vacations are now an occasion to follow the paths laid out in our favorite movies. Obviously we can't recreate all the plot details -- at least not all the time -- but, more and more, travelers seem to be booking itineraries that take them to James Bond's London, Twilight's Washington coast or the Shire that has been fabricated in rural New Zealand.
It seems inevitable that these celluloid travelers will someday end up spending a week in Hollywood, but they are wandering around the world in the mean time.
