Meet the Morphmoms

Meet Kusha Alagband

What made you want to start a career in photography?
"I started by shooting a lot of weddings, and then, I chased my love which is shooting family portraits... documenting the connection between parents and children... for the first time in my life, I didn't listen to anyone... I just tried to do what would make me happy."

Who was your number one supporter?
"My husband was the quiet voice encouraging me in the background."

How has having children impacted you?
"I find that my career is not as important to me. It is important to me that it defines me to a certain degree but I really need to raise these children-they depend on me. I'm learning from my kid's every day. I'm learning that it is such a humbling experience and how much I don't know. I don't know what I'm doing but I'm figuring it out as I go."

What advice would you give to other morphmoms?
"I learned from the banking world if you do a great job word of mouth is extremely powerful and is probably the most powerful thing when it comes to your business. You have to listen well, and work really hard, and produce great material and if you do that everything else will come. The message I would want to give them is follow your bliss and whatever you do be really good at it -everything else will come!"

Are you happy?
"I am getting chills right now. I am so grateful. I am so happy. I count my lucky stars every single day for the experiences I have had thus far."
