Free Yourself, Please

July Fourth is a day in the U.S. where we celebrate freedom. I never really understood how incredibly important freedom was to me until I had gotten myself into such a state that I was anything but free. I was a prisoner in my head to beliefs of not being good enough, worthy, or loveable and it was killing me.

It literally was as if I had chains on my wrists and feet that would pull me down, back into the rabbit hole of my eating addiction and obsessive behaviors, at any given moment. There are many moments that I can look back on when I was standing in my kitchen, in the middle of a binge, wondering if there was any way out of that self-induced hell.

On many sad occasions I thought surely there was not.

But this isn't about me, it's about you. I am happy to share my darkest moments publicly so that YOU can see that you're not alone, that there's a way out of the dark, and that you should hold on to faith and hope in a way that you never have before.

It's no secret that when you are living in a state of silent hell inside, you're stress levels are sky high and seem unsurmountable. Even the simplest of tasks seem challenging, and the more important responsibilities, such as family and work, debilitating.

It doesn't have to be this way though. With the proper strategies under your belt, you can release stress and be free again! Free to live in an amazing and healthy body, in deep and meaningful relationships, and living a life that brings you authentic joy.

Your Sure-Fire Formula To Freedom

  1. Dance Through The Storm: Don't wait to always have the "storm of stress" pass before you begin to enjoy your life. Learn to dance in the storm, be playful in the rain, find gratitude even in a monsoon! Life can be hard sometimes, but when we focus on still bringing in gratitude, we de-charge the stress and shift it into brighter times.
  1. Don't Unpack Your Bags: Focus on what you're learning from the situation, even though it's rough. Quite honestly, if you never struggled, you would probably never grow. The trick is to not unpack your bags and decide to stay there. Keep your bags packed and move on to greener pastures, they are waiting for you!
  1. Gather Champions: Take a look around you, there are thousands of people that have climbed out of the ashes into lives that they never thought possible. You are no different from them! We are all born with the exact same ability to get focused, turn it around, and persevere. Find your champions and learn from them, streamlining your own healing process.

Whether you are battling a physical, mental, or an emotional issue you can come out of this as the Phoenix Rising. You can redefine yourself and use your situation to experience a level of freedom that you've never known before. These moments are here for you to not wilt, deflate, or quit. They are here so you can become stronger than you ever imagined possible.

I believe in you 100 percent and I know that you can use these steps to turn anything around. Don't over complicate it, keep it simple. Focus on the desired results, relax a bit, and enjoy your life... even when it looks like rain.
