Each year, approximately 250,000 men and women leave the military, and join the ranks of more than 22 million other veterans who have served. Many of those who leave active duty will want or need to find meaningful and rewarding employment, and sadly, many struggle to do just that.
On Veterans Day, Veteran Recruiting and dozens of leading, military friendly employers will host the third annual Veterans Day Virtual Career Fair. Since 2011, more than 37,000 veterans and spouses have been hired by the employers who participate.
The virtual career fair allows employers, veterans, and military spouses to meet and interact, in real time, and from anywhere in the world with a computer.
More than 50 of America's leading companies, and over 28,000 veterans and military spouses are registered to attend. Unlike a traditional career fair that takes place in one city, and requires the employer and job seeker to travel, the virtual career fair allows the employer to recruit nationwide, in one day, and from the comfort and convenience of their home or office. There is no suit required, resumes to print, gas to buy, or need to take off work to attend on the veteran and military spouse side.
