This is Mewes back with my second attempt at writing a Blog and my second successful hijacking of Smith's computer.
Back when we were shooting JAY & SILENT BOB STRIKE BACK, I'd go clubbing in LA with some guys from our movie crew. Right away I was subjected to the LA club life. There were long lines of people waiting to get inside the club, yelling at the promoters. The attractive girls would get escorted inside quickly, while most of the guys would have to wait. I figured it out fast; I needed to be with lots of pretty girls or meet the promoter, or have been on TMZ, nootch. Eventually, we figured out how to work the system.
The dance floor would be packed but nobody was doing the East Coast bump and grind. People would just sway from side to side and throwing their hands up while holding hundred dollar bills. What the heck was this? This wasn't dancing.
After a few strolls around the room, I made my move. Maybe this was better than the Jersey clubs where I'd get rejected and embarrassed while I'd try to get my dance on. In LA, I could just stand across from a beautiful woman and move my arms in a funny direction and they called that dancing. This was a great revelation for me. I hope to share this with the world so they know how Mewes went from SLAM/BREAK BOOTY DROPPIN, to moving side to side like the DOUGIE.
