Jesse Campbell Wins The First Episode of This Year's The Voice

The second contestant on this season's premiere of The Voice, Jesse Campbell took to the stage in front of judges Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton, and Cee-Lo Green. Since this round of auditions is performed blindly, the judges faced the audience and listened as Campbell, a single father, belted out the first few notes of 'A Song for You," originally performed by Leon Russell.

The Voice is NBC's answer to American Idol, pairing unknown singers with pros who form teams and compete for a recording contract. Within seconds of opening his mouth, three judges spun around to fight for Jesse Campbell to be on their teams. Shelton was the last to turn toward the stage, but he later regretted it.

"At some point I started realizing I was the only dumbass in this room who was missing the show," he said.

The judges bickered over Jesse, promising him the world and recognizing his soul.
"You just blew me away... you know, goosebump kinda stuff," Adam Levine said.

Within minutes and even after the show, 'Jesse Campbell' was trending on Twitter right under "SuperBowl." crashed as well. Previously unknown and suddenly as popular as the Super Bowl, Jesse Campbell has one powerful voice.

After humbly considering all the choices, Campbell finally chose Aguilera as his mentor. Long into the night, the Twitter feed remained full of chatter about Jesse and his story of single fatherdom. This is just the beginning to a long, meaningful career for beautiful, soulful singer, Jesse Campbell
