If Aaron Schock Is Really Gay, We'll Need Proof, Not Rumors

Writer Itay Hod apparently just "outed" GOP Congressman Aaron Schock on Facebook.

In case you don't know who Schock is, he's a model-handsome, uber-fit Illinois congressman who is vehemently anti-gay rights. So his being gay would be quite a story. Is it true?

Hod doesn't mention his name, but lays the clues out for us, and claims on Facebook that:

"a journalist for a reputable network, told [me] in no uncertain terms that he caught that GOP congressman and his male roommate in the shower... together. now they could have been good friends just trying to conserve water. but there's more. what if this congressman has also been caught by tmz cameras trolling gay bars."

I'd want to know how this journalist found them in a shower, the where and why, not just the secondhand claim. I'd like to know which bars, at the very least, and when.

And then for Hod, there's the fact that Schock's Instagram account is obviously gay. Really? Check out the link and take a look at the photos. His jawline makes him gay? His Adam's Apple? Being on a basketball court with handsome men? Wow, that alone would likely double or triple the percentage of our gay male population. Oh, there's also the question of his colorful pants, and the fact that he's a fan of gay swimmer Tom Daley.

That's pretty weak evidence. Next I expect he'll be charged with having once seen a Joan Crawford movie....

Seriously, if Schock is gay, given his hateful record, he should be outed. But not in a half-assed fashion. If Hod has real evidence, he should share it.
