Krupa Grocery is a special addition to the neighborhood. Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn just keeps getting better. Serving morning coffee, pastries, and three square meals--this IS your neighborhood spot.

Chef Domenick Gianfrancesco hails from Queens, went to the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE), and landed an externship at Tom Collicchio's Craft here in NYC. He then became Executive Sous at Craftbar. Manager Tom Sperduto grew up in New York state as well, and after much experience at Danny Meyer's Elevan Madison Park, Clinton Street Baking Company, and Craftbar, he is now running the show at Krupa.

Great coffee from Irving Farm Roasters, and breakfast pastries like wild blueberry, cheddar & chive, and gluten free apple cheddar biscuits. Full breakfast is served until 3:30 p.m. every day of the week (!!) for those late-risers or weekday brunch-cravers, and includes everything from eggs, lemon ricotta pancakes, smoked bacon, and interesting takes like breakfast gnocchi. Weekend brunch and week day lunch includes all this and more, like mussels and a juicy Colorado lamb burger.

Dinner is where it is at. Tons of delicious bites to start - from vegetables like blistered shishitos, to country toasts like pimento cheese and pickled jalepeno, to cheese and charcuterie. Salads and snacks to start include a market honey crisp apple salad, roasted beets, and salt cod croquettes. All delicious and presented beautifully. Entrees include vegetarian options like roasted delicata squash, house-made gnudi, and then meats like sausage and hanger steak. All hit the spot, and with the friendly and attentive staff, this is a place to check out for a truly enjoyable meal. Desserts were decadent but not too sweet too. And the selection of wine was smart and easy to pick from.

From a local spot, to live music, to a fun happy hour ($2 off all beers and wine by the glass), I highly recommend checking out Krupa. Their bar, dining room and outdoor seating offer something for everyone.
