Campaign finance records filed with the FEC show that Republican Martha Roby has gained a commanding lead in fundraising momentum, especially during the final period leading up to the November 2 elections. The final disclosure reports filed with the FEC, covering the period from Oct 1 to Oct 13, show Roby raising more than three times as much money as Democrat Bobby Bright. Roby raised $85,798.05 in that period, while Bright raised $24,880.08.

Republican challenger Martha Roby has raised more money than incumbent Democratic Congress man Bobby Bright over the most recent federal cam paign finance reporting period, but Bright has more cash in the bank.
Federal Election Commis sion reports for the period from July 1 to Sept. 30 show that Roby raised about $363,700 to $209,609 for Bright. The FEC reports show that Bright, a former Montgomery mayor, has $578,694 on hand going into the final two weeks of the campaign to $300,271 for Roby.
Roby, a Montgomery city councilwoman, is trying retake a seat that Republicans held for 44 years until Bright won it in a close election two years ago.
