Washington Post appeared to change the paper's price. But it was just a mistake.

Washington Post readers picking up today's paper might have noticed what appeared to be the first major change of the Jeff Bezos era: a price drop from $1.25 to $1.

DCRTV noted the apparent price change on Twitter.

But Bezos is not dropping the Post's cover price. A Post spokeswoman said that today's price was an error and the print edition remains $1.25.

Still, there has been a small change since Bezos officially took over the paper on Tuesday. Unsurprisingly, Don Graham's name was removed from the masthead of the paper that had been in his family's hands for the past four generations.

Bezos, however, has not yet added his name to the paper's masthead and his spokesman did not respond to a question of whether he plans to.
