Reading The Pictures: That Disaster's A Kisser


Karl's rule is, when you have a perceptual problem, always attack it head on.

So, I get the FEMA jacket (Okay, Brownie's dead) and all the hugging ... and kissing, I guess.

Of course, the closed eyes also offer the hint of spirituality, a theme our faithful leader (and the PR team) also makes sure to drive home. And, because the White House is, above all, a commercial enterprise (as evidenced by that guest list spiced full of fat cat contributers at the State Dinner for the Queen), it also seems appropriate this photo -- situated at the John Deere dealership in Greensburg -- offers product placement, as well.

And then, let's not forget to give credit for that little slice of the flag.
