AHIP's Listening Tour Doesn't Tell Anyone They Are There

Okay, so this is pretty damn funny. The Assn of Health Insurance Providers (AHIP) didn't want any grassroots types or DFH to show up at the 2nd stop on their "listening tour" today, so they didn't tell anyone they were doing it -- except I guess insurance co. execs. No press releases, nothing on their website, no publicity of any kind. See the HCAN post on this here.

A new form of grassroots involvement: highly secretive listening tours where no one but their best friends are invited to come. Cool. Maybe AHIP's friends in the McCain campaign should try it -- oh, wait, I guess that is their definition of a fundraiser.
