Friendly Fire: Why We Can Be Harshest With the Ones We Love Most

Often, we're most critical with the ones with love most. We're extra sensitive to certain characteristics, express annoyance toward particular habits, scold positions we deem outdated. And while we generally have their best interest in mind when criticizing, arguing or complaining, what we're really doing is closing our hearts to our most cherished beings.

Let love come in.

We all have patterns, routines, grooved-in ways of living life, and we can all benefit from a fresh perspective. Instead of creating war in your world of peace, however, try a lighter way: A gentle nudge, a loving hug, and divine surrender are all that's truly needed.

Love more. Especially your loved ones.
Tell your loved ones you love them. Words have wings.
