Citizens of Brooklyn, Take 1

Brooklyn is home to some of the coolest people on the planet. It is the birthplace of icons, legends, infamous figures and notorious souls.

To know Brooklyn is to love Brooklyn. It's impossible to say much about this borough if you've only visited once or twice. But you definitely can't speak of it if you've never been. Brooklyn, in my eyes, is the suburb of New York City, but cooler.

In the next series of interviews I will bring to you some of Brooklyn's finest. From the streets to the new high rises and to the undergrounds of secret places you only dream of.

Journey with me as you discover what it means to be cool... one voice at a time. Experience outdoor movies at Movies With A View at Brooklyn Bridge Park, Red Hook Flicks, Williamsburg Summer Screen and Coney Island Flicks on The Beach.

Rock out to Prospect Park Bandshell to hear the sounds of jazz greats such as Wynton Marsalis or The Roots.

Enjoy fashion from the streets of Bed-Stuy to the Catwalk of Brooklyn Fashion Week. Yes. Brooklyn is the home to so many of the most extravagant fashionistas that they had to create their own fashion week.

I promise you the ride won't be boring.
