Barack Obama was indeed elected President of the United States in 2008 with almost seventy million votes.

I have recently looked all over and I could not find even one vote cast for that great American, Rush Limbaugh. In fact I could not find his name mentioned on the ballot of any of our fifty states. It is also my belief that he has never run for public office. This in no way directly disparages any of his opinions about anything.

I think that is reasonable for Limbaugh and Sarah Palin to share the top of the Republican ticket in 2010, with Palin on the top of the ticket being that she has governing experience and he has none.

I do realize that Limbaugh attracts millions of listeners on radio each day, but that does not make him at all creditable to me. He is, after all, only famous now for being famous and for making outrageous statements.

Having been in the business of television for almost fifty years, I have been made aware that almost everyone is a movie and television expert in addition to other expertise about politics and the weather.

A was appalled when I first heard Rush Limbaugh say: "...Okay, I'll send you a response, but I don't need 400 words, I need four: I hope he fails." (interruption) "What are you laughing at? See, here's the point. Everybody thinks it's outrageous to say. Look, even my staff -- 'Oh, you can't do that.' Why not? Why is it any different, what's new, what is unfair about my saying I hope liberalism fails? Liberalism is our problem. Liberalism is what's gotten us dangerously close to the precipice here. Why do I want more of it? I don't care what the Drive-By story is. I would be honored if the Drive-By Media headlined me all day long....I hope Obama fails. Somebody's gotta say it."

There is nothing to say about this in that he openly is in favor of Obama's failure which of course means that America will fail as well.

That is just great.

Limbaugh recently complained about our President's overreaction to the influenza "issue."

Limbaugh, the unelected, without a scintilla of responsibility or the information available to our President is of course anxious to be critical of the President for the sake of being critical. What does Rush know about science? What would Rush say after the fact if we indeed had a flu epidemic and the president had done nothing? He can pontificate to his right-of-center audience and he never ever needs to be correct about anything. What a racket he has had and continues to have. He is never called out on anything he says on his program, what a "free pass" he has.

My friend Carol was always saying something like: Norman, you need to forgive them because they are just ignorant.

Well Rush, you are certainly ignorant, yet I do not forgive you, anyway.

Mr. Limbaugh, pick one of the following.

The President states that the influenza scare has been greatly overstated, does nothing, and 20 million Americans become infected or,

The President states that the influenza scare is real and issues instructions that all possible steps be taken to protect the populace.

Mr. Limbaugh, as an average American I know which one of these I would choose.

It is so easy to do what Rush does: Sit back and take irresponsible shots at the president over and over again.

If I was a conservative Republican and stood mute as President Bush started a war in Iraq and lied about the reasons for starting it, doubled the national debt, violated the Constitution a few times, and sanctioned the imprisonment and torture of people without due process, I would hide out for a while and be quiet.

Limbaugh has managed to give new meaning to the word "chutzpah" which means "unmitigated effrontery or impudence; gall, audacity; nerve."

I immaturely wish that Limbaugh would contract a severe case of "swine flu" in the future and be saved by a drug developed because President Obama considered the disease a real threat to mankind.

And by the way Rush, was Iraq in fact involved in 9/11 and did the Iraqi's indeed possess weapons of mass destruction? Will President Bush be vindicated for going to war in Iraq? Had you ever taken issue with the president for this decision?

Compare this mistake to the swine flu activities.

In conclusion, I will relate the punch line from a bad Joke. A woman divorces a man who is a famous writer and lecturer about sex. On the witness stand she is asked why she had claimed that she had been deprived of a normal sex life with her famous husband and she replied: "We never had sex and all he ever wanted to do was to talk about it."

Rush does talk incessantly about politics and to the best of my knowledge has never participated in the process.
