My husband and I are coming up on our anniversary and every year we say a toast to "stubborn tenacity."
Stubborn tenacity is the determination to love your spouse so deeply that you become unflappable when there's a problem and yes, even grateful for it. It's the determination to see an obstacle as nothing more than a clue that will help you unearth even deeper love.
When you bungle love -- which we all do from time to time -- your stubborn tenacity will remind you to appreciate the undaunted fighter that you are and to prize your well-intentioned, indomitable heart.
Stubborn tenacity is never mentioned in wedding vows, but I have come to realize it should be the most important vow a couple ever makes.
What is your modus operandi when you face an obstacle with your spouse? Do you have stubborn tenacity?
