The million dollar question at the end of the 20th century was what person had had the greatest effect on the past 100 years.

When Time magazine was considering its "Person of the Century," it considered Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela and Franklin D. Roosevelt, among others.

But, as Time so eloquently put it, these people "merely changed the world" while Albert Einstein "changed the universe."

I'm grateful for Einstein, that eccentric genius with the outrageous gray hair, because his "Theory of Relativity" taught us that time and space are relative. They can shrink or stretch depending on the observer. Einstein turned our world on its head, proving that one courageous person, imbued with curiosity, can not only make a difference but can create a revolution at any given moment in time.
