What you need: Hand sanitizer and a paper towel (Q-tip optional).

What you do: First, pop the batteries out of the remote. (You don't want to mess up your TV settings while you clean it, do you?) Then squeeze a dime-sized drop of hand sanitizer onto a paper towel and wipe down the entire surface--front and back.

What about tough-to-reach spots? That's where the Q-tip comes in. Dab a drop or two of hand sanitizer on it and deep clean in between and around the buttons.

Now? Go back to watching Game of Thrones.
