A cartoon I illustrated in my first year of Rabbinical school which I dusted off to share with you today. With Deadpool and other Hollywood superhero movies hitting the big screens, it's hard to find someone who doesn't know who "The Hulk" is. Yet, the legend of the Golem dates back to the 2nd Century writings of the Talmud in Tractate Sanhedrin 38B. So, long before the green hulk machine came on the scene, the grey mound of clay was in play. Of course, I had to draw the Golem with a Jewish skullcap and prayer shawl taunting the Hulk with the classic Yiddish word "Nudnik," which best translates as "a pestering, nagging bore."
