What would you do with a box of old lenses?

My dad, Larkin Larrabee, has been a clock-making machine this summer and he's finished yet another DIY clock.

A few weeks ago, my grandpa brought my dad a box of old lenses that he had stored in his basement. (We have no idea why he had these...) After reading these posts, you may be thinking that my family members are hoarders -- and you'd be right. As my grandparents age, they give whole boxes of stuff to us for holidays, our birthdays and apparently for clock-making. Most of this stuff is useless and it's just a way for them to slowly clean out their house, garage and barn... but that was not the case for my dad. He saw a big box of lenses and jumped at the chance to create yet another clock with a touch of whimsy.

Enjoy the photos my dad has provided of the steps in the process of creating his latest DIY clock.
