Sitting on a dark deck under one star in the clouded sky
Listening to bullfrogs croaking to each other in regular conversation,
And watching as the fireflies light up the night as iridescent dots
Against darkness. Tree leaves rustle in a light breeze unseen.
The sea sounds a rhythmic base line that one feels as much as hears.
The river bell over the hill clangs once. Summer night. Outside. Alone.
And not ever alone.
