You've gotta do this whether you like it or not. In fact, you're doing it right now. I just want you to do it better and more deeply.

As you've aged, you've probably realized that sprinting your way through life just burns you out. What makes matters worse (making you feel more disconnected from yourself and others) is when you stay in the shallow waters only.
"Shallow" and "sprinting" are not the keys to feeling more authentic and FREE. That's where breathing comes in.
It usually takes a lot longer to get rid of things than it does to accumulate them. And that's the reason we need to spend time EXHALING through life, not just inhaling. Slow things down. Deepen things up. Open up your body, brain and heart to experience MORE.
Talk about destressing! So, let's try it.
Try to make your out-breath double your in-breath.
Breathe in... 1, 2, 3. Breathe out... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
That's called lung capacity. And boy oh boy, do you need it. The more lung capacity you have, the more you can run, play, jump and just plain stay focused. The more you can regulate the speed of your breath at will, the more you can choose to breathe through that icky conversation with your boss, get down in downward dog in yoga, and Stretch more.
It's all about the lungs, baby. So today, let's use 'em.
Your Fearless Challenge for today is to BREATHE DEEPLY. SLOWLY. DELIBERATELY.
Depending on whether this is a Stretch, Risk or Die for you, you can set your timer to go off every hour on the hour... or every 30 minutes... or -- if you are super brave, and super into it -- every 15 minutes. (Talk about scary! Geez!)
