If you're celebrating Valentine's Day at home this year, you're in a good company. A survey by WorstPizza.com found that 63 percent of all couples plan to stay in for Valentine's Day this year.
Celebrating at home doesn't have to mean sacrificing romance. Just follow our tips for a healthy, green (and affordable!) day of love.
Set the mood.
Use healthy, green products to set the mood or enliven your celebration. Soy candles light up your dining table and create romance in the bedroom, and organic flowers make a perfect table decoration. When it comes to gifts, exchange organic chocolate, fair trade items or homemade gifts from recycled materials.
Say "I love you" with a home-cooked meal.
Instead of spending money on an expensive dinner out, splurge on organic produce and locally sourced ingredients when you cook at home. Preparing a meal with your loved one will also bring you together in a way that sitting in restaurant won't.
Whip up something sweet.

A jug of wine, a hunk of cheese...and thou.

A night curled up on the couch might be just what youyou're your partner need. (My favorite romantic movie of all time is "An Affair to Remember," but "The English Patient" would do, too.)

Walk down Memory Lane.
No matter how long you've been together, take a look back at old pictures of the two of you. Reminiscing about when you first met, your first date, first kiss and other important moments will remind you why you care.
