When you're about to buy a new TV, do you look for consumer reviews on sites like Amazon, or professional reviews? If you're like 77% of people, you care more about the opinions of those usually anonymous strangers than the people who supposedly know what they're talking about.

User reviews have changed the way we buy products, find new restaurants, hire contractors and more. Especially for millennials, those born in the early 1980s to 2000 or so. According to one survey, 51% of Generation Y care more about user-generated content on Web sites than the opinions of their friends and family.

Great for consumers, but what about businesses? Find out more about the power of strangers' opinions in the latest episode of Freshwire's "60 Seconds of Social Media" below.

And if you haven't checked out your Facebook privacy settings recently, we'll show you why, in light of Facebook's new Graph Search and the actual things it can find, you might want to get on that. Like, now.

Speaking of Graph Search, check out last week's "60 Seconds" episode for the lowdown.
