I recently had the opportunity to participate in Marriott's new Travel Brilliantly project, and it was fascinating to see how they're looking to innovate the consumer experience around travel using technology. If you travel a ton like me or even if you frequent hotels once in a while, you might feel it's hard to really get your feedback heard and implemented.
That's the whole idea behind Travel Brilliantly , to empower us all to re-imagine the travel and hotel experience by sharing and submitting your innovative ideas--from a game changing travel concept, to designing new rooms at Marriott hotels and even choosing the types of chairs in their meeting rooms.
I'm actually one of the judges and I'll be picking a winning idea in September, which could be implemented in their hotels around the world.
Pretty cool--but, the future of engagement is also about our connection with the offline experience in the cities and hotels we visit. While in San Francisco for the launch, I discovered that they partnered with the app Liquidspace, getting into the co-working business to empower more effective meetings, startups, and entrepreneurs.
