Over the last four months, two Cameroonian lawyers have received a series of death threats by email and SMS. The reason? The lawyers, Alice Nkom and Michel Togué, have the audacity to represent clients accused of homosexual conduct.
LGBT people in Cameroon are subject to abuse in prison, violent attacks in their communities, and loss of custody of their children. Alice Nkom's organization works to combat these human rights violations.
