Restore Your Way into the New Year (VIDEO)

It's the end of the year...again! It's really quite amazing how December sneaks up on us without much warning, and then coasts into January just like it's no big deal. How dare it! No one ever asked us if we are ready for another year! Maybe we haven't finished this year's goals or simply aren't ready for the cold winter that envelops us for several months to come.

Time moves along at its own pace for as long as we are on this planet, and then some. So why try to beat it anymore? Maybe it's better to meet time head on and chill ourselves out so we can exist in harmony with the passing days.

There are so many things to do, so little time. Maybe if we shift our perspective of time and ease into it a bit more we can see that there is all the time we need. So many things to do, so much time. There is all the time in the world since time goes on forever. Things may not happen at the exact speed that we prefer, but if we put in our efforts everything will happen according to plan.

A friend of mine once told me, "Life is Long." The opposite of what we hear mostly, life is short. It's amazing what we've been through already in our lives no matter what our age. Think of what we've seen, people we've met, our relationships, experiences, and accomplishments. Reflection is a powerful tool.

With that in mind I offer a short restorative yoga practice. All you need is you, a little bit of time, a blanket, and a block. Try it out. Chill out and roll into the new year with ease.
