Whether you're determined to finally reach the goal weight you set out to achieve several months back, or a lapse in your regular healthy habits led you to gain a few extra pounds that you'd now like to shed, getting rid of that bit of extra body fat can be quite a challenging (and frustrating) feat.
Why, is it so hard to lose those final few pounds?
Part of the reason it's so difficult is because you're body probably doesn't think that you need to lose anything more. Your current weight is healthy, so as far as your biological processes are concerned there's no real reason for you to lose those last five or ten pounds.
However, you brain may be thinking differently, and while it might be a bit vain, there's nothing wrong with wanting to go the extra distance so that you can look and feel your very best.
That said, it's also worth mentioning that in order to be truly content with your body image, it's important that you learn to love the way you look at any weight, otherwise it's likely that you'll always be unhappy.
That doesn't mean you can't drop those last few vanity pounds, though.
A few weeks back we shared a list of expert "lose the last 10 pounds" tips, and since there are many more factors that could be making it more difficult for you to reach that final goal weight, we're back with more advice.
This time I recruited the help of fitness expert Amanda Russell. Russell is a leading health and fitness expert, a former elite distance runner and the creator of FitStrongandSexy.com.
Read on to learn more tips that can help you finally lose those last few pounds and then put them into practice to reach your goal.
