Transition
the process or a period of

changing

from one state or condition
to another

It seems that nowadays
we live
in constant
transition
whether it be
from giving
to receiving
from coming
to going
from knowing
to seeking
from freshman
to senior
from newbie
to established

Transition

it astounds me
when I ponder
the power
of
transition
when I stop to consider that
each seemingly insignificant
silkworm
gives us
one to two
thousand feet
of silk filament
by spinning
its cocoon
from one state
to another

I'm in
transition
awakening this morning
with this on my mind

what will I take with me
and what will I
leave behind

I shall take
love
and leave
love
for it is the only
substance
that can exist in both places
unchanged

when I take a breath
it gives life
to my body

when I exhale
what flows from my body
is different than
that which flowed in

water is transformed
by transition
from cold
to hot
from solid
to liquid

our path is transformed
by transition

from wet
to dry
from narrow
to broad

LOVE

remains the same
to me

it is only transformed
by its presence
or absence

So today
I declare to
take it with me
and leave it behind
for you
for it exists
in both places
within me
and within you
LOVE
transcends
transition
