"I’ve not seen politics in the court," the liberal retired Supreme Court justice said. "And I’ve been a judge for 40 years."
The former justice, who retired at 83 after the consequential Dobbs ruling, said he does not believe it is harmful to impose such limits on the high court.

“Are they really going to allow women to die on the table because they won’t allow an abortion which would save her life?" the retired Supreme Court justice asked.

The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia said the justices will both be spokesmen for civics education and civility in politics.
“It has been my great honor to participate as a judge in the effort to maintain our Constitution and the Rule of Law,” the justice wrote to President Joe Biden.
