That's what the spa at Palacio del Inka does, filling its menu with indigenous indulgences like quinoa exfoliation, a 24-karat-gold body wrap, and Chocolate Temptation: After a few sips of cocoa leaf tea, enjoy a cocoa powder scrub and a liquid chocolate body wrap; the whole thing ends with an aromatherapy massage--which, thankfully, isn't redolent of Hershey.

The spa at this rustic detox retreat boasts seven treatment rooms, but we recommend the massage huts in the forest, where crashing waves stand in for the usual wind chime recordings. The vast menu offers all manner of healing remedies, but the must-do is mud yoga. After a mud bath, guests participate in a yoga class where mud painting--both on oneself and on others--is encouraged. Fortunately, showers are just steps away.

Spa at Iconic Santorini, Greece
Centuries-old cave dwellings in this coastal village have been transformed into a 22-room hotel and grotto-luxe spa. Okay, the spa is only one room--but what a room! There is space for two massage tables, a shower stocked with Aesop goodies, and an adjoining dipping pool. Treatments range from Ayurvedic massage to reflexology, reiki, and Rejuvance, a 60-minute tension-melting facial massage.
