The traditional summer vacation season bookended between Memorial Day and Labor Day is officially over. It is back to school and off to work we go.
It is also a good time to see if America suffers from a Vacation Deficit Disorder and is the so-called No-Vacation Nation it is reputed to be.
The benefits of taking breaks from work are obvious and well-studied: vacations recharge your batteries, give you a creativity boost, motivate you, reconnect you with loved ones, increase your happiness quotient, create life-long memories, help you sleep better, induce healthier lives and longer life spans.
