Jersey City house fire began with teen lighting candles in heat-less house, officials say



Firefighters were called to a two-alarm fire at 142 Bostwick Ave in Jersey City at 1:44 this morning after a 15-year-old boy accidentally caused the blaze after lighting candles in an apartment that had no electricity or heat, according to Fire Director Armando Roman.
