In some sense, it's intuitive to pair a fashion company and a film company, since it allows for easy product placement. Though we're hoping that the development notes on every Weinstein Co. script don't suddenly include things like "We feel this character would be more relatable if she were wearing a red chiffon cocktail dress in this scene."
