Doubleday To Publish Pelosi Memoir In 2008

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, has signed with Doubleday to publisher her memoir. The deal for North American rights was made by Doubleday president and publisher Stephen Rubin, who acquired the untitled work from a trio of the William Morris Agency's top executives: chairman Norman Brokaw; v-p and co-head of the agency, Jennifer Rudolph Walsh; and senior v-p and president Mel Berger.

The book, which is slated for a summer 2008 release date, will be co-written by an as-yet-unnamed author. The focus, according to Doubleday, will be on Pelosi's personal and professional life.
