Rocco DiSpirito Has Less Integrity Than A Cartoon Rat

2007-08-01-RemytheRatiii.JPGThis is a bit off our beat but we couldn't resist noting the life-imitating-art-ness of Rocco DiSpirito lending his name to a line of frozen dinners, which is eerily reminiscent of a sub-plot in the delightful summer film Ratatouille, wherein Remy the Rat Who Can Totally Cook joins forces with Linguini the Redheaded Sous Chef Who Totally Can't to, inter alia, protect the name of top chef Gusteau and his namesake restaurant from being whored out to a line of cheap frozen dinners by the evil, crassly-commercial Chef Skinner who doesn't care about the integrity of the food, just seeks to use Gusteau's to further his own moneygrubbing ends. So somehow, this item just seemed to resonate today, don't know why.
