"I Am Not Gay, I Never Have Been Gay"

Sen. Larry Craig said that he "overreacted and made a poor decision" in pleading guilty to disorderly conduct after his June arrest following an incident in a Minneapolis airport bathroom.

In his first public statement on the arrest, the Idaho Republican said he did nothing 'inappropriate' and also said, "I am not gay."

Due to their beliefs,expectations and practices, the Catholic Church is noted for attracting pedophiles into their ranks. It appears the Republican party is gaining a reputation for attracting closeted gay hypocrites into theirs. What better place to run away from and hide who you are other than the GOP who have done everything in their power to reduce gays to social detritus.

Normal adults with healthy sex lives just can't get that worked up about other people's behavior.

I have worked in past jobs with two people who ended up getting busted for sex offenses. One was into boys, one was into very young girls. Both were vocal moralizing bloviating Christian Republican "conservatives" who would go off about the decline of morals in America, gays in the military, porn, infidelity, lack of prayer in public schools and all the usual crap like that. When they finally got busted---well you justy have to fucking laugh. Its so damn predictable. Freud calls it a 'reaction formation', Jung called it the 'shadow'. Just keep that in mind the next time you hear some dude moralizing in public

I don't know if this has been said (I certainly don't have the time nor will to read through sixteen pages of comments) but I'm not sure which I'm more appalled at. The fact that this man is clearly a hypocrite preaching family values out of one side of his mouth and soliciting sex from men in airport bathrooms the next. Or the fact that this man is a SENATOR, a member of the LEGISLATIVE BRANCH of the US government yet appears to have NO IDEA about basic law procedures. Get a lawyer and plead not guilty if you claim this never took place. That what just about everyone else in this country does.

So Larry Craig says; "I Am Not Gay, I Never Have Been Gay". Brings back memories of 1973 with the famous Nixon statement; "I am not a crook".

I could care less whether this piece of shit is gay or not, but lying about it after he's caught, sheeesh.

I do hope if this lying bastard runs for re-election, the good people of Idaho will keep his ass in Idaho.

On the show I have called on Senator Larry Craig to end his years of hypocrisy by leveling with Idahoans about who he really is. I am also calling upon several prominent Idaho social conservative leaders to ask them how they square their anti-gay positions with their support for this leader.

I have done extensive research into this case, including trips to the Pacific Northwest to meet with men who have say they have physical relations with the Senator. I have also met with a man here in Washington, D.C., who says the same -- and that these incidents occurred in the bathrooms of Union Station.

All of this is smoke - not fire - but there is a lot of smoke.

Mike Rogers, who calls himself "the nation’s leading gay activist blogger" has just finished a nationally-broadcast interview on the Ed Schultz Radio Show in which he alleges that Idaho Republican Senator Larry Craig has engaged in same-sex sexual activity.

Senator Craig’s office flatly rejected the claims. "The Senator says this story is absolutely ridiculous – almost laughable," said press secretary Sid Smith. “It has no basis in fact.”

Rogers said he has talked to three men unknown to each other who all reported in detail their sexual encounters with Craig over the last four years. The men were of legal age, Rogers said. (Audio of Rogers on the Ed Schultz show is available here.)

You can be sure that this isn't the first time Craig has done this. This crapper cruising is a fetish with some closeted homosexual men. In fact often they can't function sexually except in the high risk environment of a public restroom. It is the anonymity and very possibility of getting caught that heightens the sexual tension for the closeted participant.
