BBC News:

The US Justice Department has said that internet service providers should be allowed to charge for priority traffic.

The agency said it was opposed to "network neutrality", the idea that all data on the net is treated equally.

The comments put the agency at odds with companies such as Microsoft and Google, who have called for legislation to guarantee equal access to the net.

The agency submitted its comments to the Federal Communications Commission, which is investigating net access.

Except for a small handful of brave Americans, the Dems are bought and paid for mercs who are throwing the USA to wolves. They are the lower of the two, between them and the Reps.

Traitors.

As someone stated, it's payback for all the help that Verizon and others gave to the DOJ for allowing them to spy on Americans with nary a hint of protest.

This is getting sickening. "Our" government is betraying us constantly. The corporate fascist society is nigh upon us unless we actually get off of our asses and start electing politicians who know what made America great and it wasn't caving to corporations at the expense of American citizens.

FUCK THIS ADMINISTRATION and FUCK THE COWARDLY DEMOCRATS who keep caving to the Thug party and those who support them.

The internet is a public infrastructure. These bastards want to steal it so they can control the supply of bandwidth. How tidy for their profit margin. They should either respond to the demands of their customers or GET OUT, if they're not "making enough profit". SHEESH.

Sure. What's to stop them from taking over the world? They've gotten aways with a whole pile of crap from the get-go...

Who's gonna stop them? All their partners in crime making a literal killing off us?

Sure...

The Bush administration is doing everything it can to control all forms of information and that goes against the grain of what this country was founded on. The hypocrisy and out-right corruption in Washington has got to be stopped! Go here for a deeper view than we usually do not find on Huffpo!

We, the people, are responsible if we allow it to happen. We need to impeach and imprison Bu$hCo, and then vote everyone out of office who created this mess. Including all Democrats except Kucinich. We cannot continue on our current path.

As Yoda said, never say try, do.

1-2-3 Is this thing working?

Well, if the DOJ is against it, you know that everyone else should be for it.
The new litmus test!!

This should not be surprising to anyone. Onwership of the internet will reinforce the Neo Con ideology of the Right, which will keep them in power forever. Their goal will be realized once this is adopted as law.

Wake Up America!!! Time is running out for Freedom as we knew it!

I expected as much from the corrupt Bush U.S. Justice Dept. whose primary mission is to service the few at the expense of the many.

The control of information, and for that matter the internet, is just a way to conform the Bush plans for complete domination of the american people.
This administration is corrupt and for that the following applies candidly.

"Among a people generally corrupt, liberty cannot long exist."
Author: Edmund Burke 1729-1797, British Political Writer, Statesman

Thus, our liberties are being infringed upon by a Nazi administration that uses fear to control and impose on us their fascists objectives.

However, we must also understand that we are accomplice to this effort to control the internet, which is a act of corruption by itself, due to our own indifference.

Biz as usual. Quid pro quo. It's DoJ $ payback to the spying telcom$ that brownshirted us.

The first thing that should be done is a boycott of AT&T and Verizon internet services. They are a huge ripoff as it is. Hopefully, these clowns at the (no) Justice Department will be gone soon enough.

Sure, screw us on the internet. We get screwed at banks, in stores, screwed out of jobs and in line at SSI and unemployment. Make the right wing screw job complete.

But when you need someone to fight your wars, hire a mercenary.$$$$
