Giuliani: "For Me Every Day Is An Anniversary Of Sept. 11"

Basking in the lasting glow of his Sept. 11 leadership while campaigning in Pinellas County and Orlando on Friday, Giuliani stressed national security and electability, rather than the sort of hot-button social issues that are thought to be critical to winning the Republican nomination.

"For me every day is an anniversary of Sept. 11," Giuliani said after reviewing emergency response equipment at the Pinellas Sheriff's Office with Attorney General Bill McCollum and Sheriff Jim Coats. "If we don't talk about Sept. 11, you can't prepare to try to avoid another Sept. 11."

stro2425: I agree completely. You've probably seen Loose Change 911, if you haven't check it out on the internet. I don't know WHEN that truth will come out 10 years or 100 years. In some ways it doesn't really matter, (that's the understatement of the millenium!).

I just caught a part of a 60 Minutes rerun tonight showing the aftermath, which I hadn't seen in awhile. You look at all that dust, all those floating papers and it's about impossible to conclude that was anything else but an explosion. The burning from a tank of 737 jet fuel could not physically cause the bringing down, in minutes of 750,000 tons of steel and concrete. Think about it. That fuel burns at 1500 degrees, steel MELTS (it doesn't burn) at 3000 degrees after HOURS and HOURS of heat applied. My son's a blacksmith. I trust him more than anyone who might call me insane.

I thought my wife had lost her mind when she told me ON 9/11/01 that this was planned, it did not look right on the TV nor did it feel right. I agree with my wife and son NOW and much of what is asked in Loose Change 911. I know people really wanted to move on in NY, BUT that cleanup sure was quick. Did they really do tests to see if explosions were involved with the remains? Gulliani can wear 911 as his mantle at his own risk. The whole thing stinks of untruth. Also, why did the last owner of the towers buy the buildings so hastily esp. in light of the fact that they were also looking at a major asbestoes claim - the place was full of it. AND why was an insurance policy taken out that 911 summer specifically mentioned airborne terrorist attacks in the policy?

So many questions out there. Someone has a lot of answering to do...

Dear Huliani,
Just because you happened to be the mayor of NY during Sep 11 does not make you a hero. Get over it dude - your 5 minutes of fame is over.

One thing that I don't particularly like about Giulliani is that he is a thug.

If we don't talk about Sept. 11, you can't prepare to extend the surge INDEFINITELY.

Stay safe, healthy and happy,
Love, Loretta

Giuliani's fear mongering is just one of his many "charms". He has the temperment of 3 year old brat who, when he fails to get his way, throws a tantrum for all to see. He did this quite frequently when he was mayor and when he did he looked like the jerkoff that he really is. Then there was his refusal to fund the Brooklyn Museum because of the Chris Ofili painting. His upholding of the sanctity of Catholic icons (which were actually cut out of a magazine) was such blatant hypocrisy that anyone with half a brain knew was bullshit. At the time he was running around with Judith (1st lady!) Nathan while he was still married.
The firemen and police complained bitterly about the radioes which failed to transmit in times of emergency and which cost many lives in the World Trade Center on 9/11. Of course Giuliani blasted the firemen and policemen for their whining and nothing was done about the radioes.
While constantly protecting the police from public criticism for incidents such as the shootings of Amadou Diallo and Patrick Dorismond, he was less friendly to either the police or fire personnel when it came time to negotiate wage or benefit increases.
He continues to take credit for "saving" New York when in fact the plans for "saving" New York were begun under Mayor Koch and continued under Dinkins. Giuliani remains the petty, vindictive person he was when he was mayor of New York yet people in this country want to hand him almost universal power. This would be more than a mistake - it would be a disaster.

Even the Bible of LibWhine, the New York Times, says this today in its long mag article:

The logic of Giuliani"s pitch to voters on terrorism will feel familiar to anyone who paid close attention to his political ascent. When he first won office in 1993, New York was widely considered a city beyond governance, an uncontrollable metropolis where violent crime, entrenched bureaucracy and swollen welfare rolls were accepted as the grim but unshakable realities of urban decline. Rudy ran as a real S.O.B., the guy who had the steel to restore order and sanity where no one else could or would. Whatever you think of Giuliani personally, it"s hard to argue that he didn"t succeed; crime and the welfare rolls plummeted for the first time in decades, while jobs and neighborhoods came back. Giuliani maintained an uneasy détente with the overwhelmingly liberal pool of voters who had chosen him for the job. He did the dirty work that made their city, at long last, livable and safe, the things their political correctness would never allow them to openly countenance. For their part, New Yorkers made a show of disdaining him at dinner parties for his bullying ways and pitiless programs, but they slept better knowing that Rudy was wrestling the city"s myriad demons.

He won't forget 911 because he gets richer every day selling fear as a commodity.

Someone, please ask Rudy how much money he has made directly as a result of 911.

Don't ever forget, Rudy does not speak to people he does not agree with.

What a wonderful president he would be with all his cronies fear mongering our Nations wealth into their bank accounts.

What a wonderful USA, after all, who doesn't want to get rich?

I knew Giuliani was hopelessly uninformed about September 11th, but I always figured he at least knew what day of the year it was...

YOU WISH!

How does it feel to run for President on the backs of almost 3,000 dead people every day? Does it feel good?
