Britney Bombs With MTV "Comeback" Performance

An out-of-shape, out-of-touch Britney Spears delivered what was destined to be the most talked about performance of the MTV Video Music Awards _ but for all the wrong reasons. Kicking off the show Sunday night with her new single, "Gimme More," Spears looked bleary and unprepared _ much like her recent tabloid exploits on the streets of Los Angeles.

She lazily walked through her dance moves with little enthusiasm. It appeared she had forgotten the entire art of lip-synching; and, perhaps most unforgivable given her once taut frame, she looked embarrassingly out of shape.

I will not waste my time feeling soory for her , she has money ,family etc. There are so many desrving people who truely needs helps and has no one to turn to. But , this ultimate exploitation by the power hungry industry, media etc will chill your bone , so very ugly. One more scary example for the industry to raise one up and when one falls hard, they exploit them further. I saw her for a min or two in one of the talk shows. Someone who knows her needs to help this sorry person before she become history and before the real exploitation starts !

I think the producers put her on MTV with the intention of ending her career. There is no other way to explain it. They must have seen what a disaster she was in rehearsal and yet they still put her on.

First off, all I saw was the still pictures and to me Britney Looked good. 98% of straight men in America would love to hook up with her and if you say you wouldn't your either g*y or lying.

I didn't even watch VMA show
but now that Ive read that Sarah Silverman was on it, I am extra happy I didn't watch that shit. That Chick is beyond WACK!!!. Me and my friends have an ongoing joke, The people who you hear say Sarah Silverman is funny, are the same people that keep telling everyone Woody Allen is the funniest film maker in the world. Somehow both notions are so stupid that the concept of Woody Allen actually gets a laugh out of me.
As far as Silverman goes.....You played yourself. oh yeah, she's a fucking bigot to boot. Sorry! your cover as a comedian isn't working sarah.

when Britney's new album drops and sells millions of copies, then we'll see who has the last laugh. I don't even have any of her albums, but I give respect when it's due. People have been etching her pop-stardom tombstone for years now, and yet the fascination with her remains. She continuously evolves and creates pop singles that are culturally relevant and remain on radio station playlists years after they've been released. "Toxic" is a mainstay in my radio market. "Gimme More" is now in heavy rotation, and had it been released earlier, it probably would have given "Umbrella" a run for its money as song of the summer. It's that good. She's as much of a "cow" as you are witty. You laugh now, but she'll be laughing all the way to the bank, if she isn't already.

Funny how journalist seem to think Britney is out of shape when she looks just beautiful and normal. It was my understanding that she was to do the opener with Cris Angel doing some disappearing crap with her, and MTV pulled the performance at the last minute. After all, the paps had pics of her and Angel practicing for a week. She had to come up with something immediately. If that is true, then I think she did OK. It takes balls to just show up, especially when the world seems to be cheering for your fall. I don't care for her music, or anything else on the whole damn show for that matter, but I was rooting for her, cause she is the underdog, and I want her to show the assholes what for. She looked great. TV adds pounds, and for 2 kids in less than 2 years....I wish I looked like that. Fuck em all Britney - you hang in there kid.

I thought the whole show lacked talent. Best part was Kid smacking Tommy. LMFAO

Interesting idea. Virtually talented, these animated performers would be politically correct, compliant to the will of their corporate masters, not ask for money, and they'll be drug-free and not have children.

Sort of like our troops.
