Clinton To Return $850,000 Bundled By Hsu, Begin Running Background Checks On Donors

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton's presidential campaign announced last night that it would return about $850,000 to about 260 donors who had been recruited or tapped by Norman Hsu, the disgraced Clinton campaign fund-raiser who recently fled arrest and is now under investigation for his fund-raising practices.

The Clinton campaign also disclosed last night that it would begin running criminal background checks on its bundlers -- the dozens of individuals who raise hundreds of thousands of dollars from donors on behalf of a candidate, as Mr. Hsu had done for Mrs. Clinton. A Clinton adviser said that "vigorous additional vetting" of the bundlers, including the criminal checks, would begin this week, and that the campaign was hiring people for that purpose.

Ah ha! The first reports of these contributions pegged that at a few hundred dollars... "Yawn" most of us said... But now the truth comes to light and it shows the insidious nature of these campaign contributions... $85,000 is not small amount and influence-peddlers are routinely bribing our candidates with these huge amounts of money... Why, not because they like the democratic process, they are buying something for their dollars and it ain't good for the American taxpayer... We need to look for a candidate that rejects this influence buying, who has experience as a lobbyist, who routinely accepts money from big corps (like Clinton and big Pharma) and get back to reality... I'd rather have a mediocre president who turns down this influence peddler's money over a candidate who takes the money and shows his/her gratitude with favors that cost us millions and billions of dollars...

I cannot believe that any campaign would not know where this amount of money came from. They obviously knew.

A campaign is the perfect indicator of what kind of Presidency a candidate will have.

As long as the money only came from a swindler and fugitive who was still under the radar, then all was well. As soon as the true nature of the man comes to light in the broader press, then the money is returned.

Is anyone here so stupid as to believe that a simple criminal record search or court record search would not have revealed that this guy was a crook? I wonder how much Mob money is recieved by Hillary that she is "unaware" of recieving.

Shouldn't she give back all of AIPACs money as well? 2 of their top officials will soon go to trial for ESPIONAGE against the US for illegally recieving classified documents on Iran for the purpose of fomenting war between the US and Iran.

No, everyone else is not clean in Washington. Washington politics corrupt! HRC is just nastier than most!
But I do beleive there are some who are clean on both sides of the isle.Unfortunately they would be eaten up by the big spenders.
