It's kindda depressing so close to the anniversary of 9/11. Dubai, world hdqtrs for Haliburton, boasts the largest building in the world. Bejing boasts the largest airport in the world with an economy promoted by U.S. corporate outsourcing and investment.

Way back in my distant past, Americans boasted that they had the biggest this and that - biggest factories, biggest hydroelectric dams, tallest buildings, on and on.

We have the world's biggest military force, but it's having a hard time in the current shooting war.

Somebody keeps posting a Rush rant about how the U. S. dominates the world. Obviously, it's no longer true, except in the area of mass destruction.

I for one am not happy at all about the decline in the American ability to dream big, lead, and accomplish great and good things.

We have shipped them our jobs, our corporations, our economy. They are living well and we are struggling. When the world figures out that this, the greatest country in the world, is owned by China, we could be in big trouble. I find it appalling that Congress could look at our situation when Bush took office (and I mean 'TOOK')and our situation now, and still not back impeachment. With over one more year to go with this moron in the White House, and a bar being set which will remove impeachment from our Constitution, we can wonder if we will even survive this person. After all, Bush has a record of bankrupting corporations. He turned us into one big business and is bankrupting us. It's said that we handle our money in the same way we handle our lives, in which case we have a clear indication of Bush's moral bankruptcy. It is time to impeach. That is what the people want and if Congress is still a government of, by and for the people, it will begin immediately.

However, American companies unfortunately are the ones who set up shop in China to cut Labor costs.
