Please. No one was fooled. They did the politically expediate thing vs the right thing. That's what they will continue to do. Hillary claimed she didn't intend this to be a vote for war, but she voted AGAINST the Levin amendment. She's full of --well you know -- and will say and do anything to further herself politically.

She lies.

1. If she in fact had listened to the so called experts she would have read the NIE like Sen Graham did and she would have saw that Bush's story was full of holes.

2. The resolution was not about giving the authority to go back to the UN and send back the inspectors. It was a blank check for war and Hillary knew it just like Obama and Dean and Gore and everyone who actually read the language of that freaking resolution.

Hillary voted for it because she didn't want to look weak. That's it. She was stupid to foresee the consequences or simply didn't care because she believed she could get away with it just because her name is Clinton and a bunch of Dems are absolutely blind when it comes to the Clintons like the Reps were in 2000 and 2004 when it came to a Bush.

If she in fact had not known that Bush would use the resolution to go to war she would have protested when Bush did just that in March 2003 after pulling out the inspectors but she didn't. Instead she supported the war until after polls started to show most Americans no longer supported it.

The Dem voters who hate this war and still support this woman are hypocrites. It's simple as that. They look for exuses no matter how little sense they make.

They would not let other candidates get away with this but they gave a free ride to Hillary. Disgusting.

I've never understood how politicians could be so fooled by the pre-Iraq war intelligence reports as they now claim they were. Most now claim "that if I knew then what I know now," they would not have voted for the resolution which led to war. Either they were afraid of being branded as cowards for not supporting the president's wild adventure or they really are too gullible to be in government service. Neither of these options bodes well for American democracy.

Millions of Americans knew then that the Bush administration was spewing lies, but apparently very few of our political leaders did. In the weeks leading up to the U. S. invasion of Iraq, weapons inspectors such as Scott Ritter and Hans Blix were speaking out as often as possible, trying to make Americans aware that Saddam Hussein did not have any weapons of mass destruction, and did not pose any threat to America. Countless Americans were not fooled by the "cooked" intelligence reports which the Bush administration so willingly leaked to the press. Massive anti-war protests occurred throughout the country before the invasion, which demonstrated that millions of American citizens understood the truth about potential WMDs in Iraq and the misery and devastation which was about to be unleashed by the messianic militarists in Washington, even if our politicians and news media did not.

I seriously distrust the judgment and courage of any politician who voted to give George W. Bush the powers to invade Iraq, or voted in favor of funding to continue this quagmire.

Corrections:

In retrospect, Mrs. Clinton was formerly called Hillary Nerdious and became what she is now due to Clinton's bad companionship.

Now Mrs. Clinton is trapped and has to go along even with Bush's idiotic and dangerous policies.

Dissolution of both parties is about to unfold. You are going to witness a unitary form of govt.

Get used to it, Maher.

You are a distraction to the community and your jokes are taking us nowhere.

VIDEO: Bizarre details of lawmaker DUI arrest
Copyright 2007 by the Associated Press, Video report from WSMV-TV
Last Updated: 9/13/2007 8:50:52 AM

Tennessee House Judiciary Committee Chairman Rob Briley

A video of the arrest of House Judiciary Chairman Rob Briley over the weekend shows the Nashville Democrat alternately berating police and breaking down in sobs.

At one point a profane Briley asked officers to take him out to the woods and shoot him in the head.

Police arrested Briley after they said the lawmaker led them on a high-speed chase and then failed roadside sobriety tests. Briley told officers he was dizzy from anti-depression medications.

The patrol car video released by the Watertown Police Department shows Briley collapsing on the ground after being placed in handcuffs.

Briley called the officer a Nazi and a brownshirt, then sang the first line of "Springtime For Hitler" from the Mel Brooks movie and musical "The Producers."

Meanwhile, Jay Leno joked about the arrest on his "Tonight" show monologue last night.

Giuliani anyone??
**********

Giuliani's former South Carolina state chairman, former South Carolina Treasurer Thomas Ravenel, pleaded guilty September 6 "to a federal charge of possession with intent to distribute cocaine," as the Associated Press noted.
**********

The New York Times reported June 7 that Robert B. Asher, "a prominent Pennsylvania Republican and prolific fund-raiser," had recently acknowledged to donors that he had agreed to be the state political chairman for Giuliani. The article noted that Asher "was convicted in 1986 of bribery-related charges as part of a scheme to award a no-bid contract to a company in exchange for promises of $300,000 in payoffs and political contributions."
***********

John Wren, the "Media/PR/Advertising Industry Leader" for Giuliani's finance team, faced fraud allegations as the CEO of Omnicom, for "off-loading" certain personal stocks to avoid recording any operating losses associated with those investments.
************
Looks like the repiglicans are showing their hypocrisy once again.

It seems all of the perverts are tied up with the repiglican party as usual.
***************

According to a June 20 article in The Hill, "133 plaintiffs have alleged that Robert Lichfield, co-chairman of Romney's Utah finance committee owned or operated residential boarding schools for troubled teenagers where students were 'subjected to physical abuse, emotional abuse and sexual abuse.' "

The article also noted that a second lawsuit "alleges that Lichfield and several partners entered into a scheme to defraud them by operating an unlicensed boarding school in upstate New York."

She should have put them on the payroll like Romney does.
************
Romney's national finance committee co-chairman Alan B. Fabian was, according to an August 9 Associated Press article, "charged in a 23-count indictment unsealed Thursday [August 9] with mail fraud, money laundering, bankruptcy fraud, perjury and obstruction of justice."

The AP reported that Fabian "allegedly ran a scheme to make $32 million in false purchases of computer equipment, spending the money instead on beach real estate and private jet travel." Fabian resigned from Romney's finance committee shortly after being indicted, and the

Romney campaign said it would return Fabian's $2,300 contribution, but not, however, "contributions from donors who were recruited by or have ties to Fabian," as The Boston Globe reported

I agree that bashing Hillary with vitriol and childish name calling is pointless but for those of us who see the DLC as the proof that we only have one party, it's understandable.

Our democracy, individual rights and financial health have been under serious attack for at least forty years from the forces of corporate fascism. Swapping another Clinton for another Bush will not help US!!!

Dennis Kucinich is the superior choice but will be the worst one if his nomination ends up loosing to the GOP fear and loathing machine. If Al Gore jumps in, we can all work for a Gore/Kucinich ticket and expect America will greet that enthusiastically.

Populism is the way out of this fascist takeover and the winning pairing to promote that cure is an Edwards/Obama team giving US sixteen years of people power. This attractive and inspiring team could push the political pendulum back to the left with an unstoppable momentum, pulling America back to her liberal roots.

Welcome to Stockton: foreclosure capital USA

STOCKTON, United States (AFP) - A town in central California has
become ground zero in the wave of foreclosures plaguing the US
housing market in the wake of the sub-prime lending crisis.

With a population of nearly 300,000, Stockton has acquired the
unfortunate distinction of having the highest foreclosure rate of
any US city, with one in 27 households left counting the cost of
the credit crunch, according to Realtytrac, an online marketplace
for foreclosure sales.

SHE NEEDS TO BE FACT-CHECKED ALL THE TIME. HO BUNCH A BOSHET! I knew, as many did, when the Bush criminals were marketing the occupation that they were hitting a hornets nest with a big stick. That they were lying. From the beginning. And we weren't even privy to the NIS report and all of the other intelligence that was blatently contrary to the Bush family's "intelligence". Like Hilary was. Like all of them were. Amazing. Just amazing.
