Associated Press:

Resigning Attorney General Alberto Gonzales left the scandal-scarred Justice Department on Friday, declaring himself hopeful about its mission of ferreting out crime and defending the truth. Gonzales quit after 2 1/2 years at the department amid investigations into whether he broke the law and lied to Congress. He has denied any wrongdoing.

President Bush is expected to announce a nominee next week to replace his longtime friend and fellow Texan.

This is how we get the administration liars who give testimony under oath and not under oath. This is the federal statute dealing with lying to congress. Sorry about the format. It is from findlaw.com

"I Have Seen Tyranny, Dishonesty, Corruption, And Depravity Of Types I Never Thought Possible"
And after seeing all this from a deep introspection and also looking around in the white house and administration in general as well as close friends and all those who profiteered from the Iraq war, what did he do about it? Like his boss he created a big mess and left it for his successor, impeach them all now!!!

There's an easy fix for this, gonzo: avoid mirrors.

Gonzales has finally left after a big good bye bash given to him by Bush and the other ass kissers on the staff of our little monarch. I say good riddance to bad rubbish. He talks of having seen tyranny and dishonesty. Could he be talking about his erstwhile boss, the capo? The capo di tutti i capi? Our Don Corleone, the Decider? What pity should we feel for someone so eager to scoff at the Geneva Convention? Don't worry, my dears, Shrub will find him some cushy gig somewhere, probably on some corporation's board of directors. That's where they usually go. Who knows, maybe Cheney can get him in with Halliburton. Miracles like that do happen, you know.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who is the most dishonest, corrupt, and depraved of all?
Why, Gonzo, I believe that would be YOU! And Bush. And Cheney. And Rummy. And Rice.
You criminals will be a hall of infamy for generations to come, boogeymen and boogeywomen to scare the living crap out of children who hope for democracy and the rule of law instead of waterboarding, torture, and unlimited warrantless spying and intrusion and trampling of civil liberties.

Can't help but notice that a few posters here are suggesting investigations and formal charges... Don't bother. Don't bother with bush/cheney either. They'll all just be pardoned by whoever the next salesman (sorry... I mean salesperson) is no matter the party. They're all on the same team. No ones gonna do time, no ones gonna suffer the embarrassment of being lead away in cuffs. No big dramatic scenes. Life isn't a movie.

You every notice a key element in a coup? The people get the military on their side, a dissenting general for example. Not one of these asswipe retired chuckleheads that say what the news people want to hear. Real protection. Someone currently in command of troops and weapons (but they're all overseas!). Storm the blockades, take who you want, put them up against the wall and POP goes the weasel.

But this won't be happening. It's more likely the military will turn against the people long before that happens.

Besides, it might interfere with the kids' soccer schedule, or dinner plans, or worse, your credit rating. So nothing is going to happen.

I think he should personally "experience" all those things firsthand in a federal penetentiary so he can reap what the Bush administration has sown.
