Bob Woodruff Crosses Party Lines For Benefit

Bob Woodruff, the ABC News correspondent who was critically injured in Iraq in January 2006, returned to "World News" six months ago and has scored a number of journalistic coups since. He has repeatedly reported on traumatic brain injury suffered by American service members in Iraq -- something he has intimate knowledge with.

Mr. Woodruff's role in this story will probably be debated in journalism schools for years. But he is leaving much of the advocacy work on behalf of injured soldiers to his wife Lee. The couple established the Bob Woodruff Family Fund in February to develop "excellence in prevention, diagnosis, treatment, support and resources for the injured" and Lee Woodruff has taken to Capitol Hill to promote changes in Veterans Affairs policies.
