Jurors in Phil Spector's murder trial resumed deliberations after a two-day break with a new set of instructions from the judge that legal experts deemed an unprecedented effort to break a deadlock.
Outside the jury's presence, defense attorneys on Thursday fought vigorously against the instructions, which inject new scenarios of how Spector might have killed actress Lana Clarkson.

Why are LA marathon trials of the famous so boring? Loopy, wimpy judges? Sloppy police work? Unconvincing evidence? Over matched stupid prosecutors getting ground to mincemeat by defense lawyers? All of these factors?

LA is an open city for the rich and famous. They can literally get away with murder there.
Can anybody say, thrown out on appeal if found guilty? The appeal court is going to love the addition of new material after the trial phase is over. Can you say no cross-examination by the defense?
This is not France, where the defendent must prove his innocence, but the USA, where the government must prove guilt. His lawyer only has to show that there is some doubt in the minds of the jury as to his guilt. Show doubt, not prove innocence.
I'm sorry - disliking someone in real life because of a role he played in a movie. I am glad you are not on the jury. Can you say mistrial?

I agree with you, Phil. You are insane. When I saw you selling the dope to Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper in Easy Rider I said to myself - Oh, Oh... He has just killed those two guys. And then Jack Nicholson got killed, too. I've hated you ever since, Phil. I hope you are put away where you can't kill anyone else, or threaten them, or screw them over.
Why, if I look like a Beatle, the jury might believe I represent 'love'.
